The practice

ProductDataOps: the digital transformation consultancy I founded.

ProductDataOps helps complex businesses operate for the age of AI. We make organisations simpler to run and easier to scale by improving how teams decide, prioritise, build, sell and learn.

The practice combines operating-model change, scalable product development, decision systems and focused AI-enabled tools. The objective is practical: reduce unnecessary effort, improve the quality of decisions and increase the return on digital investment.

Why ProductDataOps exists

I founded ProductDataOps because too many transformation programmes separate the work that should be connected. Strategy is developed in one place. Operating change is managed in another. Product teams are asked to deliver a roadmap they did not choose. Technology is introduced before the business has defined what must become simpler or more repeatable.

ProductDataOps works across those boundaries. We help leaders make the investment choices, simplify the operating system and develop the products and tools that allow the organisation to execute the change in practice.

What ProductDataOps changes

Direction

Turn digital ambition into explicit choices: where to invest, what to stop, what capacity to protect and how value will be measured.

Operating model

Simplify how work moves through the business: decision rights, ownership, hand-offs, delivery cadence, commercial coordination and learning loops.

Products and commercial outcomes

Build reusable products and propositions, then connect delivery to adoption, sales enablement, customer success and measurable business value.

Data and AI-enabled tools

Develop focused tools that make the operating model executable: converting fragmented data into shared evidence and removing friction from real decisions and workflows.

The test is whether effort compounds.

A business can remain busy for years and still become harder to operate. ProductDataOps focuses on whether work creates a reusable asset or another exception: whether the next customer is easier to serve, whether the next decision starts from better evidence, and whether the next unit of revenue needs less effort to produce.

“We do not use technology to decorate a transformation programme. We build the systems and tools that make the new operating model work.”

Charles’s role

I lead ProductDataOps and bring the product, operations and transformation experience shown across this site into each engagement. The practice is accountable for the practical business outcome—not simply the framework or the technology.
